TV Shows in the Philippines

Most TV shows here in the Philippines (specially the shows that features the teen actresses and actors) are about Romance and or about relationships. If it’s not about that then it can be something part of the show. I am not against it but I will be honest here.

Let us be honest. We must admit that the viewers mostly teenagers and children are viewing and portraying the lead actresses or actors of the tv shows. I even have a cousin, a 5 year old girl, who always talks about love, being in love or being with a boyfriend. I believe that is because what she is seeing from televisions are programs that are focused more on romantic love.

I am just concern of the youth who are said to be the hope of our country. I just hoped and wished that TV stations could improve there shows to programs that must promote education, patriotism, freedom, peace, truth, equality, respect for law and government, concern for the family and the future generations.

Mean

Sometimes, I really hate myself for being so nice while others were being so mean. For being so calm, even when I am angry. For being so smiling even when I am hurting. For being so wanting to see the light even if it’s so dark. And for being so forgiving even to those who cursed me to hell.

From this moment on, I would like to change me. Not because I am not happy of who I am but its because I just want to show something unusual. This time, I will be the meanest.  

Goodbye Steve Jobs

Yesterday morning I got a text message saying that the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, just died because of pancreas cancer. My first reaction was that as if a close family relative just died and hoped that it wasn’t true. But in the afternoon, just when I had the chance to open the web, Mr. Jobs was all about the news. And so, it was true then and I felt so sad. I do not know why I had to feel very sad about his death. And this writing is an attempt to write down and explain to myself why I had felt that feeling.

First of all Mr. Jobs and I are not related. I don’t work for him either and he doesn’t know me at all. I never had an Apple computer, an Iphone, and any products Apple produced except for the small Ipod my friend gave to me. So why is it that his death is a big deal for me? Maybe because his one of the many reasons why I am working in the IT field. That maybe, someday, we’ll meet and talk. That maybe, someday, he’ll hire me. That maybe, someday, I’ll work for him. That maybe, someday, I’ll get the best job ever!

Now that makes it sad, that ‘someday’ has just gone.

1. Open Microsoft Powerpoint 2003
2.  First slide,

• Create a title for your presentation
• Include your name and course

3. Second slide, (Click New Slide button to add your second slide)

• Add your personal information.
• Insert a picture. (Copy your favorite picture from facebook and paste it on your slide.

4. Third Slide, add information about your friend. Include his/her picture.

5. You can see thumbnails (a small picture) of your three slides on the left side of your powerpoint screen. Drag the third thumbnail (that is the third slide) in between the first and second slide.

6. Go to the Title Slide by clicking the first thumbnail on your left. The title slide is your first slide.

7. Right - click on your first slide, select "Slide Design". You will see a list of slide designs on the right side of your powerpoint screen. Select a design that you like by clicking on that design.

8. Press F5 to start slideshow.
9. Save your file.

• Click Save. Filename will be: LastName-Powerpoint-Activity1

When I first heard Adele's Someone Like You, i remember a friend named Lyka. She was like so depressed when she and her boyfriend broke up. And when she heard about him getting married to the real woman he loved, that was (according to her) one of the happiest moments of her life. Maybe because, that's when it was clear for her what "totally over" meant.

It is said that its because of Ashton's infidelity to his marriage. I guess and I just hope it isnt true.

Listeria Infection

What is Listeria?


According to Wikipedia:

Listeria is a bacterial genus that contains six species. Named after the English pioneer of sterile surgery Joseph Lister, the genus received its current name in 1940. Listeria species are Gram-positive bacilli and are typified by L. monocytogenes, the causative agent of listeriosis.

Listeria ivanovii is a pathogen of ruminants, and can infect mice in the laboratory, although it is only rarely the cause of human disease.

Recent Listeria Case

The infection killed 13 lives in the US. 72 people have been infected with the bacteria which is said to be originated from grown cantaloupes at Jensen Farms Inc in Holly Colorado according to the Center of Disease Control and Prevention.
